$60,000 Worth Of iPads Stolen From Best Buy, Gone In 60 Seconds!
With the growing demand of iDevices thieves now a days are also active in making their share by selling stolen iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads. According to a report by Naples News, three masked men stole $60,000 worth of iPads from Best Buy located in Coconut Point, 8000 Mediterranean Drive, Estero, just before 5 a.m.
According to the police report these three men were wearing dark clothes and entered the store from rear door. The shocking part of this story is that they managed to break into Best Buy store located iPads gathered them all together and left the store in 60 SECONDS. Yes, you read it right they did all this in 60 seconds.
Lee Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm activation at Best Buy located in Coconut Point, 8000 Mediterranean Drive, Estero, just before 5 a.m. They found the rear door pried open and merchandise on the ground.
The store’s manager said an initial check showed a cage door pried open and 60 to 90 Apple iPads missing. The manager estimates the value to be about $60,000.00, according to reports.
The store’s surveillance video showed three men enter the store by prying the rear door. They were all dressed in dark clothing, had their heads covered, and were wearing gloves. Upon entering the store, the men appeared to make a specific search for the iPads. They placed the iPads in a black bin and left the business. It took the thieves approximately 1 minute to complete the theft, according to reports.
We’ve seen such cases in 2010 and earlier this year and law enforcement agencies should take an extra step to control such acts.
