Absinthe v2.0 iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak Coming Tomorrow (Friday)
And we have great news for the jailbreak community who is eagerly waiting for iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak. As we told you before that Absinthe v2.0 is almost complete and Pod2G has added support for all iOS devices including iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G. It is now reported that Chronic Dev team will jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered LIVE at Hack in the Box conference which is taking place in Amsterdam right now. The news broke out from official Twitter account of Hack in the Box Conference in which is was mentioned that Jailbreak Live will take place tomorrow. It was also mentioned in the tweet that if you’re in Amsterdam and you want to watch best of the best hackers live in action you can buy a special 1 day pass and watch this jailbreak action LIVE.
Famous iOS hacker and member of Chronic Dev team Pod2G will most probably jailbreak iPad 3 running iOS 5.1.1 untethered at the conference. There are like a million reasons for jailbreaking iPad 3 live at the conference, it would be the first ever public (un)tethered jailbreak for iPad 3 running iOS 5.1.1. The one and only device which Absinthe v2.0 iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak won’t support is Apple TV 3 (1080p) which was released in March earlier this year.
According to conference’s draft agenda, Chronic Dev team would take the stage at 11:30 AM EST (local time) and then we have a lunch break — the session will continue from 1:30 PM (local time). Agenda of Hack in the Box conference suggests that the team would demo their Corona and Absinthe iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreaks but we believe (could be wrong) that the organizers intentionally made a typo there.
The jailbreak community is in not limited to one or two or 10 countries it’s in the whole world and we know that it can get painful at times to convert time from different time zones so we did it for you. You can just click here and check the time (your local time) of iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak LIVE event.
iPhone-Dev team has also announced that they’d release CInject command line jailbreak tool for Windows and Mac and later iOS 5.1.1 untethered support WILL be added in redsn0w jailbreaking tool. It is also expected that Chronic dev team would release a Cydia package for non A5/A5X device users who already have a tethered jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1.
We will keep you updated on this, stay tuned!
