Apple Announces Special Media Event For iPhone 5 On September 12th
Finally, the day is here folks. After months of rumors, some major and some minor leaks we’re getting really close to Apple’s next iteration of iPhone. According to The Loop, Apple is rolling out media invitation for a special media event scheduled on 12th September. The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10:00 am.
Tim Cook and Co. will take the stage onĀ SeptemberĀ 12th and announce the iPhone 5. Yes, the iPhone 5. The name of Apple’s 6th generation of iPhone has been a really active discussion topic on all forums. A lot of people believe that Apple will name it as “the new iPhone” just like 3rd generation iPad. Everyone believed that Apple will call their 3rd generation of iPad as iPad 3 but the fruit company surprised everyone by changing the name to “the new iPad”. So, some people are still inclined that Apple will name their next iteration of iPhone as the new iPhone BUT there’s something in the invite which hints that Apple might call their next gen iPhone — iPhone 5.
The shadow of the media event date (12th September) says 5 which clearly means that Apple is indeed planning to brand their next iPhone as the iPhone 5.
The event will focus on iOS 6 which was previewed at WWDC in June earlier this year and of course the iPhone 5. There are rumors of “iPad mini” but some recent reports suggest that Apple is planning another media event for 7 inch version of iPad aka iPad mini in October later this year.
We will keep you updated on this, stay tuned!
