Apple Internally Testing iTunes 11 With Deep iCloud Integration And iOS 6 Support
iTunes 10 was launched back in 2010 and to be honest we didn’t see it change much over the course of 2 years. But now, folks over 9to5Mac have a little more detail about Apple’s next major iTunes 11 update, according to Mark, Apple has already seeded an early build of iTunes 11 inside Apple Headquarters for testing purpose. This new version of iTunes which is still not announced yet is packed with deep iCloud integration and Apple’s upcoming iOS 6 support. According to the report Apple won’t be playing around with the UI but they will bring some major “under the hood” changes in iTunes 11.
iTunes 11 includes an increased presence of iCloud integration. Perhaps the biggest testament to this is a dedicated iCloud settings panel within iTunes. This panel is a centralized, always accessible spot for users to control iCloud related features while in iTunes. These features include iTunes Match, iTunes in the Cloud, iCloud iOS device backups and more.
An important thing to notice here is that Apple is majorly focused on enhancing iCloud integration in iTunes. Yes, iCloud works like a charm even today but that’s not the Apple’s best when it comes to “Apple standard”. It is also reported that iCloud will have a dedicated preference panel now which would act like a control hub for all your media in the cloud.

iCloud is something which is now welded in Apple’s every program and this in not something which will go away in an year or 2. iCloud is something which Apple can hold on to for next 10 years and that’s exactly what they’re doing, making products which majorly rely on iCloud.
There’s no word on the exact launch date of iTunes 11 but with all iOS 6 support and deep iCloud integration a September-October launch time frame won’t be hard call here.
We will keep you updated on this, stay tuned!
