Apple Officially Details iTunes Match International Roll Out
Apple is slowly rolling out their all new iTunes Match service worldwide, a document which was published earlier today details the exact international roll out numbers. According to Apple’ official document their iTunes Match service is currently available in 17 different countries which is not quite the exact number.
According to this official iTunes Match international roll out document, this service is available internationally in following countries:
- Australia
- Belgium
- Canada
- Cyprus
- Czech Republic
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Luxembourg
- Malta
- Mexico
- New Zealand
- Slovakia
- Spain
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
- United States
This lists is missing Brazil and 15 other Latin American countries where iTunes Match service is available publicly from December 13th. The reason why Apple didn’t include them in the list still remains a mystery. A lot people were complaining about iTunes Match services that they’re not able to fully use and take advantage of this new service. Apple has also refunded some of it’s European customers.
This document also contains a grid chart of countries in which iTunes Match and iTunes Store is currently available. This grid chart also shows which services are available for a specific country, some countries can only access music and apps on the other hand some countries can access Music, Books, Apps and Movies as well. Right now United States, Canada, Australia and United Kingdom are the only four countries where all iTunes Match and other iTunes services are fully available. Users in these countries have access to music, apps, books, movies, and everything else.
This $24.99-per-year service allows users to match up to 25,000 songs from their iTunes music collection with songs on the iTunes Music Store, thereby making matched songs available in iCloud. iTunes Match prices range from £21.99 in the U.K., €24.99 in France and AUD$39.99 in Australia. The service also appears to have arrived in Canada for CAD$27.99.
The table below shows you what types of purchases you can download again in each country. If a certain type of content can be downloaded again in that country, an “X” will appear in the country’s row for that content type.
If music, apps, or books are available in your country, you can enable Automatic Downloads on your computers and iOS devices to automatically download new purchases made from other devices. This feature is only available for music, apps, and books.
