Enable Timestamps For Every Text Message On iPhone, iPod touch And iPad With SMS Timestamps [Cydia Tweak]
Apple’s native messages app gives you a very clean look by creating a timestamp gap in-between your conversations. You get timestamps on your messages approximately after 5 minutes or but it won’t allow you to enable timestamp for every single message you send or receive. There’s is no stock option available in any iOS device which allows you to enable timestamps for every message but there is a solution available in Cydia app store now. SMS Timestamps is a new Cydia tweak which enable timestamps on every text message you send or receive.
Once installed, SMS Timestamps won’t create any icon on your SpringBoard but it will give you an configuration options in Settings.app. From this tweak’s configuration options you can simply enable or disable this tweak and you can also select from a number of time-stamping options.
- Every text message one minute apart from each other
- Every text message 5 minutes apart from each other
- Every text message 10 minutes apart from each other

Overall it’s a small but nifty tweak which worked exactly as the developer mentioned in its description. There are some minor glitches here and there but still it worked well for me. One more thing, this tweak won’t work after you install it, you have to either reboot your device or you can simply go to Settings and Disable > Re-Enable this tweak to make it work. If you’re one of those people who wants to know the exact time when a message was sent or received SMS Timestamp is the best tweak to go for.
SMS Timestamps is FREE tweak which is available for download in Cydia App store under BigBoss’ repo.
In order to download SMS Timestamps you will of course need a jailbroken iOS device running iOS 5, if don’t have a jailbroken iOS device you can follow our complete step by step guides to jailbreak your iPad 1, iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod touch 4G untethered using redsn0w 0.9.10b4, Corona 5.0.1 Untether and Snowbreeze 2.9.
