How To Hide Pictures In iPhone's Stock Photos App With Photo Enhancer [Cydia Tweak]
Apple stock Photos.app gives you almost every feature you need from a photo gallery app, with iOS 5 Apple also introduced couple of new features like editing pictures inside Photos.app but there’s always a room from improvement no? Even though the app is packed with a lot required features but it still lacks some basic security related options. Like, if you want to hide pictures in your iPhone you just cannot do it. iCloud’s Photostream feature keeps a back up of every picture taken with your device and naturally some people don’t want other people to see their pictures. But there’s no stock feature which allows you to hide pictures in iPhone.
This is where the magic of jailbreaking jumps in, a new Cydia tweak by the name of Photo Enhancer makes iPhone’s stock Photos.app more powerful or in other words “complete”. Not only it allows you to hide pictures in your iPhone but it also allows you to perform couple of other nifty tasks as well. First, let’s discuss something about your privacy and hiding pictures in your iPhone, Photo Enhancer Cydia tweak adds a new Hide/Show feature in your iPhone native photos app. When in Photos.app, all you need to do is just tap on “Edit” button from top right corner which and you will see a new “HIDE” button. If you wish to hide all your pictures just tap on Hide button and boom! If you want them back on just tap on “Edit” and then tap “Show”.
Photo Enhancer also allows you to the move the position of your Camera Roll which you can’t in stock Photos.app. If you wish to change the position of your Camera Roll from top to bottom just tap on “Edit” and drag your albums up and down and place them wherever you like.
This tweak is still in it’s early stages so a lot of bugs are expected, Photos.app crashed couple of times during the testing of this tweak. Overall it’s a nice tweak if you want to hide pictures in iPhone or iPod touch and add more functionality in native app.
The developer of this tweak has promised to improve Photo Enhancer tweak and release and updated version with a lot of new features including password protected image locking for your iPhone and iPod touch.
