How To Delete Every Post From Your Facebook Wall And Wipe Timeline

facebook-timeline

A feature which was believed to be “really cool” turned as nightmare for thousands of people who are using Facebook. Yes, I’m talking about Facebook Timeline, social networking giant Facebook introduced Timeline on f8 conference earlier last year. This feature was not made available for it’s 800 million user-base but soon after it’s introduction Facebook Developers got their hands-on Facebook’s radically changed profile page, the Timeline.

A lot people tried to get their hands-on Facebook’s “really cool” Timeline so they followed a trick which which was really simple, become a Facebook developer. All you had to do was to create a random Open Graph app and BOOM you’re a developer and you get access to use Timelime. But a lot of people realized that they never wanted a feature like this, they never wanted to go all the way down to see what they actually did 2 or 3 years ago. Hell, they never wanted their new friends to easily browse through their Facebook history. Let’s carry on with the topic,

Try “Magic Button” Method If You’re Still Kicking The Old Facebook Profile:

Personal Note: Do not activate Timeline if you still haven’t.

Some awesome developers have created a “magic button” which will delete every thing on your wall very easily. Magic Button approach is pretty simple and it will delete Facebook wall posts and comments. This is the easiest method available right now for deleting all posts from your Facebook profile. By installing Greasemonkey scripts, we can modify and change how Facebook acts, and how the user interacts with the site. You can follow a complete tutorial posted here. It is recommended that your perform this method on a Windows machine running Firefox but a Chrome on Mac would also do the job.

“Magic Button” Approach Not Working ? Try This:

This is a little hard approach because it’s related to macros.

Macros automate mouse clicks or keyboard presses, allowing actions to be repeated on an infinite loop. This method therefore is perfect should one be trying to delete a near infinite number of Facebook wall posts, for example.

Because how the macro is created is all but impossible to describe, this video should guide you through what you need to click, and how to set up your macro to run on an indefinite loop, until there are no more wall posts left to delete.

If you want to carry on with this approach you will need JitBit Macro Recorder this software will automate mouse clicks for you.

If You’ve Enabled Facebook Timeline, There’ Still A Slim Chance:

Well it looks like you’ve already reached “point of no return”. If you already have Facebook Timeline then there’s no way to revert it back, there was a trick which only worked for those who activated Timeline with Facebook Developer trick mentioned above. But now this is a permanent feature and if you’re already here you just cannot go back. But you can delete you previous posts, doing it one-by-one would take hell lot of time. But there’s a slim chance that this trick might help you in completing the task.

We will keep you updated on this, stay tuned!
