How to Install Whited00r Custom iOS 4.2.1 on Your Old iPhone 2G/3G and iPod Touch
Earlier today we posted that whited00r custom iOS 4.2.1 is available for download. Here is tutorial on How To install whited00r custom iOS 4.2.1 on you old iPhone 2G/3G and iPod Touch 1G/2G.
Follow steps to install WhiteD00r 4.2.1 Custom firmware:
Step 1 : This process is safe and tested, but you are doing this at your own risk. For this reason we suggest to backup your data. we absolutely recommend that you make a clean installation without restoring from a backup. We will not provide support if this rule is not respected.
Step 2 : Choose and download the right firmware for your device from the download page . Choose the unlocked version only if you want to unlock carrier lock or you want to skip activation process. You will find the whited00r firmware (ipsw) decompressing the zip folder.
Step 3 : Open iTunes on your device page. Click on RESTORE holding ALT (MacOS) or SHIFT (Windows) at the same time and select the whited00r firmware from you computer. You could get same errors messages during installation.
Step 4 : After installation (could take up to 15 minutes) iTunes will ask you if you want to restore backup. Please choose “Set up a new iPhone/iPod” to improve speed and avoid strange problems. Clean installation is better and the the only way to get our support! If some features don’t get enabled reboot your device twice and update Cydia.
Step 5 : Enjoy your new custom iOS!!!
