Pod2g’s iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak was released earlier today in the form of redsn0w 0.9.10b1. Chronic Dev team on the other hand released a Cydia package which is more convenient to use. Corona 5.0.1 Untether will jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad untethered on iOS 5.0.1.
Corona 5.0.1 untether is a really small package weighing only 47.5KB, this untethered jailbreak is based on pod2g’s untethered exploit which he was working on from a long time. Couple of days ago pod2g announced in a blog update that he submitted his iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak exploit and required information to Chronic Dev team for further processing and release.
Corona 5.0.1 Untether will work on following iOS devices:
- iPhone 3GS

This jailbreak is brought to you courtesy of pod2g’s ninja-like magic + userland exploits, which he first publicly described in this blog post and then turned over to both the Chronic Dev & iPhone Dev teams for further testing + integration into our existing jailbreak tools.
