iOS 4.3.2 Untethered Jailbreak Imminent [Confirmed]
Stefan Esser aka @i0n1c has confirmed that Apple did not patch his kernel based untethered jailbreak exploit in their latest release of iOS 4.3.2. It was highly speculated that Apple may patch i0n1c’s exploit before the release of iOS 4.3.2. @MuscleNerd and @comex, also mentioned it earlier today that i0n1c’s untethered exploit has not been patched in this release but they were waiting for i0n1c’s confirmation.
In a tweet today i0n1c said:
Apple has been nice. I just verified that the untether vulnerability is not fixed in iOS 4.3.2 – my Ipad 1 is running untethered jailbroken
Remember that iOS 4.3.2 was jailbroken within an hour of its releasse using redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 and pwnage tool but it was tethered.
So now we know that the exploit has not been patched and i0n1c is also working on new binaries for iOS 4.3.2.To sum it all up we can say iOS 4.3.2 Untethered Jailbreak is on it’s way. There is no ETA yet but it’s confirmed now.
