iOS 5 Beta 8 Coming This Friday, GM Will Be Seeded On 23rd September, iPhone 5 Launch In Early October
We’re getting close to iPhone 5 launch with every passing hour and reports are coming in every second. According to a recent report by BGR, Apple is planning to release iOS 5 Beta 8 for Developers Only on this Friday, 16th September. They recieved information about iOS 5 Bet 8 release from a “trusted source” which is very credible.
iOS 5 Beta 8 is not the only thing which source told, they also mentioned that Apple would be seeding iOS 5 Gold Master to developers on 23rd September. Remember that this date perfectly falls in line with previous reports about iOS 5 GM launch. This iOS 5 Final Version (GM) would be shipped to assemblers for installation and then to some carriers for testing purpose.
After beta 8, Apple will introduce a Gold Master build on or around September 23rd as has been rumored. We believe that build is what will be loaded onto the already-assembled iPhone 5 hardware currently waiting for final software in China.
Some carriers would test iPhone 5 with this final build installed on them, after thorough testing final approval for iOS 5 would be given by October 5. If some issues are found after that, then Apple would work on a patch and release it as a minor update right after the launch of iPhone 5 and iOS 5.
iTunes 10.5 Beta 8 was launched couple of weeks ago without any iOS 5 beta8 update and it was highly speculated that Apple has finalized iOS 5 GM. Later it was reported that Apple seeded iOS 5 GM to some carriers for testing with couple of new features which were not present in iOS 5 Beta 7.
If sources are right then we’re looking at mid-October iPhone 5 launch along with iOS 5 and Apple’s iCloud.
We will keep you updated about this, stay tuned!
