Apple Started Importing iPad 3 From China Ahead Of Its Launch Next Month

ipad 3

We’re getting closer to iPad 3 launch with every passing second and according to recent reports Apple has already started importing iPad 3 units from China for pre-orders. Our friends over 9to5Mac posted purported iPad 3 shipments orders which were surfaced on Sina Weibo (Chinese Twitter like social network) and  WeiPhone forum. This report from Chinese social media leaks suggests that Foxconn have started shipping iPad 3 to America from 26th February. Initially iPad 3 shipments will be delivered on three major U.S airports (Chicago, JFK New York, Los Angeles) the documents suggests.

Friends broke the news: Chengdu International Airport at major international cargo charter flights, cargo owners demanding security, from CTU takeoff by stop PVG Shanghai, and then directly to ORD Chicago, the JFK New York, LAX in Los Angeles, March 9, completed before transport. According to the privately disclosed the Chengdu F production for the U.S. A company’s latest products…

Received friends inside information, Chengdu International Airport night cargo charter flights, said the owner of the security demanding, and in private that the Chengdu Fu X Kang new products. Takes note of the location of the United States (ORD Chicago, JFK New York, LAX in Los Angeles)

Another reader from the forum added some information to this report and said:

Our company started undertake a load of top-secured cargo. The owner has extreme requirements for the security. In order to prevent the cargo from being dragged on the airport ramp for too long, as well as shortening the time the cargo stay on the airport ramp, we hereby require XXXX to schedule all the XXX cargo planes from Feb. 26 to Mar. 9. to XXX slot.

Both of these reports combined gives an impression the Apple has already started importing iPad 3 units from China. Apple always prefer to make their products shipments very secure so that they can prevent any leaks before the launch event. According to other reports, Apple is also planning to take iPad 3 pre-orders before actual launch date. Apple didn’t take any pre-orders when iPad 2 was launched last year though Apple did take pre-orders before original iPad launch in 2010. If they are planning to to it they’d start on March 9th most probably. Apple started taking pre-orders for iPhone 4S on October 7th almost a week before it’s official launch date.

iPad 3 is not the only product update which is expected during next month, it is also reported that Apple is planning to release an upgraded version of Apple TV. Developers also found some code strings in iOS 5.1 beta 2 which suggested an upgraded version of Apple TV which will support 1080p video playback and carry a faster processor.

As these reports are not from any authentic source so it’s hard to put a weight on these rumors. As of our updated reports Apple is planning their iPad 3 media launch event  on March 7th. iPad 3 would carry a high resolution display, a faster A5X dual core processor, better camera and slightly thicker design.

We will keep you updated on this, stay tuned!
