Leaked: Pictures Of iPhone 5 Parts Suggest Large Screen And Smaller Dock Connector [Images]
We’re months away from expected launch of iPhone 5 but we’re witnessing part leaks from last couple of weeks. Fresh on the plate are leaked iPhone 5 parts from two different Asian replacement part suppliers. First set of iPhone 5 parts were published by 9to5Mac which were provided by a reliable source from Asian supply chain. According to the report the supplier is selling this purport iPhone 5 leaked part.
First set of purported iPhone 5 images suggests that Apple is indeed working on a smaller dock connector, the images also suggests that the new iPhone would also carry a large display and redesigned back panel. One of the most interesting things in these leaked images is the placement of headphone jack which is located on the bottom side of the phone along with speaker, microphone and smaller dock connector.
It was also rumored that Apple would use liquidmetal in their upcoming iPhone but these leaked images suggest otherwise. The supplier claims that the back plate of these leaked iPhone 5 parts is of aluminum. Judging by the size of these leaked iPhone 5 parts it’s fairly easy to assume that the company is definitely going for a bigger screen in fact slightly bigger than 3.95 inches.
Later, MacRumors also published some leaked purported images of iPhone 5 which were provided by one of their sources in supply chain. Both set of images look pretty much similar but there are minor changes here and there. If you look closely you will notice that the images which MacRumors posted are slightly different typographically. The “iPhone” font looks different than images which were leaked earlier but the details are same. We can see a headphone jack at the bottom of the phone along with speaker,microphone and smaller dock connector.
These leaked parts also confirm the authenticity of previously leaked dock connector, microphone and headphone jack.
iPhone 5 launch is due in September-October time frame later this year.
