microsoft office for ipad

According to a recent report by The Daily, Microsoft is preparing to launch their famous Microsoft Office suite for iPad. Microsoft Office for iPad would a great package for people who’re already accustomed to use Microsoft Office in their offices.

the tech giant is actively working on adapting its popular software suite for Apple’s tablet. With the iPad making up over 80 percent of the tablet market and millions of people worldwide using Office, that could mean big bucks for the tech giant based in Redmond, Wash.

With over 80% of tablet market shares iPad without any doubt is the best selling and number one tablet choice for everybody in the world. According to the report Microsoft would also be launching their Office suite for Mac OS X Lion. Remember that Apple also has their own iWork suite which include Apps like Pages, Numbers and Keynote and Microsoft’s iPad Office suit will be in direct competition with Apple’s iWork productivity applications.

According to the report Office is Microsoft’s “best seller” and it contributes a lot in Microsoft’s revenue. Business experts and market analysts believe that Office for iPad will bring a significant change in Microsoft’s revenue figures.

Besides Office, Microsoft is betting heavily on the next version of its flagship product, Windows 8, which, with its graphically focused Metro interface, has proven controversial. If it flops, the company’s fiscal future could rest on the performance of Office. Spreading Office to new platforms therefore makes a lot of sense for Microsoft.

We believe that Microsoft is not the only one who will benefit from Microsoft Office for iPad launch, there’s a plus point for Apple in it too. Microsoft is not planning to launch their office suite for Android tablets anytime soon so it will give iPad an extra edge over other competitor tablets in market.
