Apple is all set to refresh MacBook and iMac line up with Intel’s latest 22nm Ivy Bridge Core i5 and Core i7 processors.  Now, The Liberty Times is also pointing toward a possible June launch time frame for updated Apple’s All in One iMacs and MacBook Pro lineup. “[Reporter Cai B Xuan / Taipei] market that Apple (APPLE) the new Macbook series laptops will be available in June asked the city.” (via Google Translate). The newspaper also reported that component suppliers will see a significant growth in sales during the month of May.

It was first rumored that Apple would launch thinner MacBook Pros at the end of April but the fruit company changed their plan and pushed the launch. We first reported about 15 inch MacBook Pros with thinner form factor, so far our source’s information is accurate that these MacBook Pros would be “thicker than currently available MacBook Airs but thinner than MacBook Pros”. Reportedly, thinner 2012 lineup of MacBook Pro would also sport a USB 3.0 port. Remember that Ivy Bridge processors comes with USB 3.0 support out of the box. Some sources also suggest that Apple would finally introduce their much rumored Retina display for Macs in 2012 lineup. 2012 iMacs would also sport Retina display and USB 3.0 but it is still not clear whether Apple is planning to remove optical drive from iMacs or not.

Reports also suggest that Apple finally kill Ethernet port in 2012 thinner MacBook Pro lineup and just like optical drives it still not clear whether Apple is planning to kill Ethernet port in iMacs or not. If the company is going for a major design change to make 2012 iMacs thinner and lighter than Mid 2011 iMacs then there’s a possibility that Apple would remove optical and Ethernet port from them but details are very scant at the moment. Both 2012 iMacs and MacBook Pros would come with Apple’s OS X Mountain Lion pre installed. The company has already seeded developer preview of OS X Mountain Lion and it is scheduled for launch in summer this year (most probably WWDC 2012).

According to recent reports, new MacBook Pros and iMacs would be unveild on Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2012) which is taking place at Moscone Center San Fransico this year from June 11th to June 15th.
