New MacBook Air 2011 Getting Backlit Keyboard ?

MacBook Air launch is just hours away and we have something new to add up in 2011 MacBook Air feature list. According to some sources New MacBook Air will be getting a backlit keyboard. We already know that MacBook Air 2011 series is going to be a powerful series ever made, powered by Intel’s fast Sandy Bridge Core i3 and Core i5 processors. MacBook Air is also getting Thunderbolt I/O technology and it will be shipped with Mac OS X Lion pre-installed. Above all it’s also getting flash memory storage with over 400MB/s speed.

Apple Insider reported:

According to people familiar with the matter, backlit keyboards will join the string of hardware enhancements planned for the new 11.6- and 13.3-inch notebooks, which are also expected to adopt high-speed Thunderbolt ports, an upgrade to Intel’s Sandy Bridge architecture, and possibly high-speed 400MBps flash memory.

Apple is planning to launch upgraded MacBook Airs along with Mac Pros and all new Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on July 14th. Apple Retail Stores across US are preparing for the release and an “overnight” is also planned on 13th July which also confirms the 14 July launch date.

Yesterday’s part number leak confirmed that four new MacBook Air models will be released this year, two 11 inch versions and similarly two 13 inch versions. Coming back to Backlit keyboard, it’s an advanced keyboard equipped with ambient light sensor which detects level of light around you and adjust the light of your keyboard. This feature for sure will make a difference in MacBook Air market. To conclude i just have one line, “World’s thinnest note just got faster and powerful “.
