Record Skype Calls On Your iPad 1 And iPad 2

Looking for a way to record Skype calls on your iPad ? It’s really simple, you don’t even need to jailbreak you iPad for this to work. Skype for iPad was released yesterday in strange rather dramatic way. First it was made available to users via iTunes later Skype pulled their official Skype App for iPad from iTunes and called it a premature release. Later it was made available to users again.

Here’s how-to record Skype calls on your iPad 1 or iPad 2:

Things you will be needing during this process:

  • Your iPad 1 or iPad 2
  • A simple voice recorder from App Store, Quick Voice do the job, download
  • Skype for iPad which you can download from App Store or from here.

Step 1: Run official Skype for iPad App which you installed earlier and login using your credentials.

Step 2: Make a Skype call to anyone who is in your contact list

Step 3: Go back to Home screen and run Quick Voice which you downloaded and installed earlier.

Step 4: Simply start recording using Quick Voice

That’s it, you should be recording your Skype call now, simple wasn’t it? This is just a trick to record your call quick Voice is not interacting with your Skype Application in any way. It’s using the standard built-in speaker and microphone to record the activity which is going on.

Remember: This trick will not work if you’re using headphones, because Quick Voice records activity on built-in microphone and speaker only.

One more thing, it’s not necessary to run Quick Voice after you make your Skype call you can start in before you make your call in order to avoid any interference in the call.

There’s no App in App Store right now  built specifically to record your Skype calls so this this trick would do the job until a Proper App or a jailbreak tweak is released.

We will keep you updated about this, stay tuned!
