A huge development was made in “Siri Port to iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G project” earlier today, developers have finally ported Siri to iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G successfully and this time it’s not just GUI. Yes Siri has been completely ported to iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G and developers managed to connect with Apple servers this this time.
Siri was released on October 4th as a major feature of iPhone 4S on October 4th in Apple’s special media event. It is a sophisticated personal voice assistant which allows you to accomplish some simple as well as complex tasks on your iPhone 4S and now iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G easily.
Yesterday, Siri’s GUI was released for public by some developers, but it wasn’t functional, it was just a GUI of Siri and devices were not able to connect with Apple servers in order to process your voice commands. Folks over 9to5Mac were the first one’s in collaboration with and iOS developer Steven Troughton-Smith to demo Siri’s GUI on iPhone 4 and later iPod Touch 4G port was demoed by some other developers hardly couple of days ago. The earlier version of Siri port was slow and sluggish but now it has been refined and it’s completely working on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G. Steven Troughton-Smith with another famous iOS developer “CHPWN” somehow managed to trick Apple’s server and process voice commands coming from hardware other than iPhone 4S.

How To Get Siri On Your iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G:
Siri is really attractive feature and in my opinion it is the only catchy thing in iPhone 4S which makes iPhone 4S owners stand out. Everyone out there wants to get their hands-on this port but as we’ve been telling you from the first day that this Siri’s port to iPhone 4 and older iOS products like iPad, iPad 2 , iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 3GS would be illegal because it involves piracy. Developer Steven Troughton-Smith and CHPWN also refused make required files to port Siri in iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G public.
Can We Download Siri From Cydia?
This question was answered by Steven Troughton-Smith the developer behing Siri port and it was a yes, he was of he view that others will make a package of these files and release it on Cydia.
He said:
“I have no doubts that others will package this up and distribute it quasi-illegally, or try and sell it to people. I am only interested in the technology and making it work”
So we can say that eventually Siri port to iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G will be available on Cydia for download in the form of a package.
