This Liquid Metal iPhone Concept Looks Unbelievably Real [Photos]
We’ve seen many iPhone concepts in the past, every design varies depending on the rumors swirling in the market. Some of them look way too good to be real and some of them just make you go WOW! Right now the rumors are really hot about Liquid Meta 6th generation of iPhone, every iPhone owner knows a little bit about liquid metal alloy because every iPhone is shipped with a SIM try ejection pin which is made of this very same alloy. Anyhow, rumor has it that Apple is planning to ditch glass front and back panels of iPhone for liquid metal. The fruit company acquired Liquidmetal Technologies in August 2010 but there’s no Apple product in the market which is completely made of this strong alloy.
Folks over NWE have crafted a beautiful concept design of next generation iPhone made from Liquid metal alloy. Honestly speaking this looks so real that you want to buy it the moment you see it. The designer has kept iPhone basics exactly where they belong, you still have your famous Home button. You get standard physical buttons like volume up, volume down and Silent on the left side. There are some changes as well, the headphone jack in not on the left side now, the designer has placed Apple’s 3.5mm standard headphone jack in the middle. Sleep/Wake button has also been moved from its original top position and it’s located on the right side.
On the bottom, we’ve got standard speaker, microphone and 30-Pin dock connector. The back is sexy, as Steve Jobs would’ve said “The back of this thing is better than the front of others”. This concept iPhone design has a curved back and you can see Apple logo crafted with liquidmetal.
Overall this concept looks unbelievably true and Apple like. If Apple is planning to make their next iteration of iPhone with liquidmetal, they better make it like this one.
