When it come to updates, Microsoft FAIL all the time, we saw it in  Windows Phone 7 update. And now Microsoft is facing some troubles with Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows 7 which was launched at the end of last month.

Users started complaining about “install errors” right after the launch of it. The problem is something like this “if you have an OEM machine connected to a server running WSUS [Windows Server Update Services] with the default settings it offers and installs SP1 automatically.”

This is killing machines and stopping them booting with a C00000034 fatal error. And wait this is not the only problem, some other users are also reporting reboot loop issues after encountering “Error C000009A applying update operation 120782 of 367890″.

A total of two threads have been started on Microsoft’s Support Forum, and the have full details regarding this issue. During all this issue a company’s employee wrote some troubleshooting steps for people who are facing this issue.  Microsoft did release something in this regard but as always they did it in an defensive way.

Joseph Conway, Senior Support Escalation Engineer at Microsoft’s Enterprise Platforms Support said:

We’re hard at work here trying to see what’s happening on these particular failures, I don’t have an answer yet, but as soon as I know something, you’ll know it. Please keep me informed on any failures and symptoms you have on these machines.

We will keep you updated on this issue!
